As part of our commitment to longevity, we offer a care and repair service for Anni Arela knitwear.
Complete Cashmere Care (55€)
A thorough refresh for your knitwear, including:
- Gentle washing
- Pilling removal
- Steaming or pressing
Pilling is a natural characteristic of cashmere, especially when a garment is new. The finest fibres can work their way to the surface through friction and wear. Regular, gentle removal helps keep the surface of the knit smooth and beautiful.
Repairs (from 15€)
Small holes and signs of wear can often be repaired, allowing a favourite piece to continue being worn for many more years.
The price depends on the size and number of holes, the structure and weight of the knit and the repair technique required.
Whenever possible, we aim to make the repair as discreet as the knit allows. In some cases, a more visible mending technique may be the most suitable or beautiful solution.
Larger or more extensive repairs are assessed individually.
Alterations
We offer complimentary shortening of Anni Arela knitted trousers and skirts to ensure the right length and fit.
As knitted garments require specialised finishing, each alteration is assessed individually to preserve the original character and finish of the piece.
Caring for your cashmere at home
Cashmere does not need to be washed after every wear. Allow your knitwear to rest and air naturally between uses.
Remove occasional pilling gently with a cashmere comb. Pilling will normally become less frequent as the garment is worn and cared for.
If you get a stain on your cashmere, gently press the area with a clean, damp cloth as soon as possible. Avoid rubbing.
If the stain remains, apply a small amount of wool or cashmere detergent directly to the area, then wash by hand or on a gentle wool programme using cool water. Avoid fabric softener.
After washing, gently reshape the garment and allow it to dry flat. Never hang wet knitwear, as the weight of the water may cause it to stretch.
Before storing a piece for a longer period, make sure it is completely clean and dry. Store it folded in a clean, sealable bag to protect the natural fibres from moths and other textile pests.

Care and repair are an important part of our approach to creating fewer, better pieces. A well-loved garment will naturally show signs of being worn and our aim is not to prevent this, but to help each piece age beautifully and remain part of your wardrobe for as long as possible.
